Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and BSTRADESAFE TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED, a company registered in Nigeria (RC 9511968), registered address [Registered Address] ("StudiCross", "we", "us"), governing your use of the StudiCross app and website. By creating an account or using StudiCross, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use StudiCross. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.

StudiCross is a study companion for secondary school and university students. It provides an AI tutor ("Chilee"), fresh AI-generated practice questions, a daily lesson, worksheet/document analysis, notes, and progress tracking. Some features (Studicross Basic) use a fixed, pre-written question bank instead of AI, and remain free regardless of your plan or credit balance.

StudiCross is a learning aid, not a substitute for your teachers, school, or official examination bodies (WAEC, NECO, JAMB, BECE, or your university). We don't guarantee any particular exam result or grade from using StudiCross.

You must be able to form a binding agreement to use StudiCross. If you are under 18, you may only use StudiCross if a parent or guardian is aware of your use and agrees to these Terms and our Privacy Policy on your behalf — this is the same confirmation you (or, for existing accounts, your account) give at signup. Parents and guardians who consent on a minor's behalf are themselves agreeing to these Terms as a condition of that minor's use of StudiCross.

You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access. The information you give us at signup and onboarding (name, education level, subjects, etc.) should be accurate — Chilee's ability to teach at the right level depends on it.

AI features (chat with Chilee, AI-generated practice questions, document upload analysis, and daily lessons) are metered by a monthly credit allowance tied to your plan. Free-plan accounts currently receive 5 upload credits and 15 chat credits per month; paid plans (Basic, Plus, Pro) receive higher allowances. Credit allowances reset each billing period and don't roll over.

Paid plans are not yet available for purchase — every account currently runs on the Free plan. We'll update these Terms with billing, refund, and cancellation terms before paid plans launch.

If you run out of AI credits, StudiCross doesn't fully lock you out: for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English Language, you can keep practicing for free using Studicross Basic, a fixed bank of pre-written (not AI-generated) questions. Notes, Achievements, and Progress tracking always remain accessible regardless of your credit balance.

You agree not to:

• Use StudiCross for anything other than your own personal schoolwork and learning.
• Use Chilee to complete a live exam, test, or graded assessment in real time in a way that violates your school's or examination body's rules on academic integrity — StudiCross is for learning and practice, not for cheating.
• Upload content you don't have the right to share, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to StudiCross or its systems.
• Use StudiCross to generate or request harmful, illegal, or non-educational content.
• Share your account with others or let someone else use your login.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably practicable.

Chilee's explanations, answers, and practice questions are generated by AI (via Anthropic's Claude models) and, like any AI system, can occasionally be incomplete, outdated, or simply wrong. Always cross-check important academic content against your textbook, teacher, or class materials, especially before an exam. We work to make Chilee accurate and level-appropriate, but we don't guarantee that every answer is error-free.

You keep ownership of what you upload or write (documents, notes, chat messages). By using StudiCross, you give us permission to process that content — including sending it to our AI provider, Anthropic — solely to provide the service to you (e.g. analyzing your worksheet, replying to your chat message, generating practice questions). We don't use your content to train AI models, and we don't sell it.

The StudiCross app, its design, branding, and the Studicross Basic question bank are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property law. You may use them only as part of using StudiCross normally — not to copy, redistribute, or build a competing product.

StudiCross relies on third-party providers to operate — including Anthropic for AI processing and our database/hosting providers. Their availability affects ours: if a provider has an outage or service interruption, StudiCross features that depend on them (including Chilee) may be temporarily unavailable. StudiCross is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee StudiCross will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will improve your grades or exam results.

To the extent permitted by law, StudiCross and its owners aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including reliance on AI-generated content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be excluded under Nigerian law.

You can stop using StudiCross and request account deletion at any time by contacting us at [[email protected]]. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or discontinue features or the service with reasonable notice where practicable.

We may update these Terms from time to time, particularly as paid plans and billing launch. If we make material changes, we'll let you know (e.g. by notice in the app) before they take effect. Continuing to use StudiCross after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
